Designer Licensing Program There are two classes of Licensed Designers; Class A designers are limited to sites not requiring site modifications; Class B Licensed Designers can design site modifications. Both classes are can design systems up to 1350 gallons per day (gpd). Active Licensed Designers, listed alphabetically: List of Class A and Class B Licensed Designers sorted alphabetically by name Active Licensed Designers, listed by county: List of Class A and Class B Licensed Designers Vermont Registered Professional Engineers are licensed by the Secretary of State's office. Class 1 professional engineers are listed as ANR compliant if they are approved to design under these Rules. To obtain license information and determine if a particular engineer is compliant with the Wastewater System and Potable Water Supply Rules, please go to www.vtprofessionals.org. In the Menu to the left, click on Licensing Databases and then Roster Download. Choose Board: Engineering, Profession/Institution: Professional Engineers. Then if you know the name of the engineer you want to look up, enter that. Otherwise choose state VT and download the roster. You will see a note in the last column on the right that will indicate "Compliance with ANR Designer License" for Class 1 designers.How to Become a Licensed Designer: An application, fee, and exams are required as part of the licensing program. How do I Renew my Class A or B License: Class A and B Licensed Designers must renew their license each year. Continuing Education Training: Every two years, an affidavit must be submitted indicating attended courses and received credits.
